have its own flavor. Has direct links to AP and
Sportsline
newstickers.
CNN and Sports Illustrated's offering of news
and scores. While it doesn't have as many commentary articles
as other services, everything is apparently free.
Fan site's main feature are its chat
room, message
board, and a neat Javascript trivia
game, which is actually for all sports..
A good mixture of all the latest news and commentary
articles and also features coaches
columns, power
ratings, message
boards, and recruiting
info.
All the latest news clips, including some feature
articles, are here, along with schedules for Division I, II,
and III teams.
Your one-stop-shop for up to the minute news and
scores. For some articles, you will need membership to their
site, but the majority of it is free.
The Top 25 scoreboard for the past 2 days, current
headlines, and game previews are on the front page, with
links to separate conference and school pages are provided.
FANSonly's offering of the latest news. Former
Michigan head coach Steve Fisher has his own column here.
Get the latest news, along with reports for most of
the major conferences. FOX is probably working on some
sort of college basketball deal in the future.
Nando's (from the Raleigh News and Observer) site
offers a wealth of polls, schedules, and scoreboard
information. They also have a small features
section.
Coverage of Black College sports, mainly the SWAC,
MEAC, CIAA, and SIAC conferences. Hoops coverage more
prevalent during the season.
One fan's view of the 1998-99 college basketball
season contains commentary articles, team summaries, polls,
and a NCAA tournament contest for March Madness.
TSN's coverage includes top news, a scoreboard, and
team reports for most of the Division I major programs.
Experts like Mike
DeCourcy and Brick
Oettinger are a good read.
Top news stories, the latest scores, the Vegas line,
injury reports, standings, and statistics are the fare at
this no-nonsense site.
The SportsCampus page features general news and notes
from each Division I conference, as well as standings
and stats. Be aware that many of their links are broken.
This service provides spreads for each game that day,
and if you select a particular game, it will give you an
extensive statistical breakdown of the two teams.
LOTS of stats.
Capsules of top stories are available, and there is a
separate section for scores.
Hardly any graphics so it loads fast.
National college basketball coverage from the
Washington Post.
